My Wedding Process

A sensitive photograph draws out the emotions and captures the heart. The sensitive photo first starts with a sensitive thought…. It is then, that I am there to capture the magic moments in both traditional and non-traditional styles. Inviting such images into the lens, and ultimately to your Wedding Photographs, to be permanently held for a lifetime of treasured memories.

The Wedding photographer must be diverse; always thinking, an artist, voyeur, framer, storyteller, recorder of thoughts, and preserver of dreams. The art of seeing and recording is the principle service that I offer you the bride, and groom, as I commit my undivided attention to capturing the special day of days, when the two of you shall become one in the eyes of God and man.

… From the early arrival, I seek to capture the fleeting moments as you are getting ready…. the nervous smile as bridesmaids help prepare the bride to meet the gentleman who has captured her heart… to the Mother who walks into the room and sees for the first time her beautiful little baby, now a grown woman standing before her in one of the finest moments of her life.

In recording your wedding, I strive to photograph it in such a manner as not to draw unnecessary attention to myself. I am everywhere, but nowhere seeking to blend in as much as permitted.

After the Wedding ceremony, it is on to the formal, posed photographs with the wedding party and close family members. The amount of time to take all the group shots often depends on the amount of individuals in the wedding party, and if everyone involved can stay inside the church after the service and await to be called upon, then to step up into the photo thus saving everyone the time involved in a hunt. A Wedding coordinator can also be of great service at this time.

When shooting the formal groupings, I prefer to invite the older generation (Grandma and Grandpa, etc) to come up and show their pretty faces first so that they do not have to hang around, and are able to reserve their energy for a sometimes-exhaustive day that may lie before them.

I pride myself upon being a gentleman's gentleman, and there is no need to worry of blurry photos from someone drinking on the job (Yes…I do have a sense of humor also ;).

The reception brings forth an atmosphere of celebration and events. Casual shots with special loved ones during interaction can be priceless, and are significant to their families, and loved ones. I am there until the last important moment of the reception has taken place, and you have asked if all the photographs you wanted have been shot.

It would be an honor to share your special day. Please contact me to set up an appointment where I may present my work to you and your fiancé, and to answer any and all questions you may have.
