John
started out his love for photography with an old Polaroid camera his father had let him use as a young lad. In the mid 1980's John bought his first Nikon camera, then began to develop his own untraditional/traditional style. In 1998 BENNETT PHOTOGRAPHY became a business, and has relied mostly on word of mouth. Now in the sixth year shooting weddings BENNETT PHOTOGRAPHY, John has shot more than 60 Weddings. He has shot thousands of quality photos covering many styles from Wedding, Studio, Commercial, Entertainment, Fashion, and Glamour to mention a few. He has also had photos published in several articles.
John's personal side complements
and contributes with an eye and ear to
creative detail as a photographer. John is an accomplished studio/touring drummer who has played drums since the ripe old age of seven and is also a drum teacher. He also plays guitar, sings, and is a serious songwriter with three songs recorded to his credit. Originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, he now resides in up state New York in the finger lakes region of Cortland, New York.
Equipment
His choice of Professional camera equipment is the Nikon 35mm SLR F-100 and the Nikon SLR Digital D-70 with 2 gig card, along with other Nikon back ups. Lens preference is a very sharp and sweet Nikon 35-105 zoom lens with Macro, and a Vivitar Series 1 19-35 zoom lens.
Photography is all about the lighting, and the main reason that the best Flashes that Nikon offers is incorporated with the SB 800 and the SB 28 Professional speed lights which mount to a Stroboframe bracket for flattering off body flash photographs which are powered by the MB15 multi-power High Speed battery pack.
